A corrupt police officer, Sangram “Simmba” Bhalerao joins the police force with a mission to benefit from bribes and a corrupt career. He is later transferred to Minamar police station where he meets with Nityanand Mohile, an upright junior constable and a potential thorn in the flesh.
Simmba falls in love with Shagun Sathe when he sees her for the first time and she reciprocates later. He continues in his corrupt lifestyle in his new area until Aakruti, a young woman who reminds him of his teacher gets raped and killed by Giri and Sada, Durva’s brothers in her attempt to expose their illegal activities.
Simmba who previously covered up for them, turns a new leaf, standing on the side of justice, and arrests Sada and Giri, earning Mohile’s salute. When he notices Aakruti’s case being tampered with in court, he decides to kill the culprits instead, framing it as an act of self-defense. This causes Simmba hassles as he is investigated for the killings. The investigation is led by Singham, who eventually rescues Simmba from a vengeful Durva’s attempt to end him.
